An inquest has heard how a member of his family found the body of the Mutley Man in his home out of concerns for his well-being.
The hearing, at Plymouth Coroner’s Court on May 12, pointed out how Jack Aaron Potter was born in Taunton but resided at a property in Alexandra Road, Mutley. However, Coroner Louise Wiltshire noted that Potter died at an address on Hill Park Crescent in Mutley on the night of May 3.
An opening statement, issued by the coroner’s court after the brief public hearing, described Mr Potter, 30, as single and a computer network worker by occupation.
In a summary of the circumstances surrounding his death, Ms Wiltshire noted that “Jack was found at his home address by a family member after reporting a concern for his well-being, as they had not seen him for some time. “.
“Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he has sadly passed away. There are no suspicious circumstances.”
Ms Wiltshire stated that based on current evidence, a medical cause of death could not yet be determined and a toxicology report was awaited.
The hearing was adjourned and a full investigation will take place at a later date.
