Husaboat Estate, for sale for £1.35m, features a nine-bedroom Georgian house overlooking Loch Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. The 18th century property also comes with its own village.
A property on a private island off the UK coast is in the market for the same price as a London department.
The 18th-century Husaboat estate, located at the northwestern tip of the Duirinsh peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, can be yours for £1.35 million.
The cost is cheaper than some properties in the capital, which can fetch up to £1.5m for a one-bedroom property.
The estate, with its 2,395 acres of land and five miles of waterfront, features a nine-bedroom, 4,600-square-foot Georgian house overlooking Loch Dunvegan.
The estate also includes the village of Borreraig, home to MacCrimmon Piping College, the institution to which pipers from all over Scotland were sent to master the bagpipes.
The house is a Grade C listed building in need of renovation and comprises a kitchen-diner, family room, dining room, sitting room, two bedrooms and ground floor bathroom.
On the first floor there is space for guests with five bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room. There are also two more bedrooms on the second floor.
The new owners will also have fishing rights included in the price and there is a boathouse included in the price.
Euan MacCrimmon, of estate agency Strutt & Parker, said: “The Scottish property market has been spectacular in recent years, but opportunities like the Husabost Estate are rare.
“It’s not every day that we see island properties coming onto the market, especially ones that tick a multitude of boxes.
“The property offers green investment potential, agricultural opportunities and the potential for residential development, but arguably its biggest draw is the romantic feeling associated with owning your own slice of the Isle of Skye.
“With its dramatic, rugged landscape and abundance of wildlife habitats, there’s no form of escapism that comes close to the peace and quiet on offer there.”
The Isle of Skye is 50 miles long and the largest of the Inner Hebrides.
It is famous for its scenery and scenery, and is a popular destination for rock climbers and nature lovers.
