So unfortunate that the race will get canceled, but truly sorry for those who've lost their lives due to the extreme weather. Hope everyone gets home safely.
Damon should've stayed home, theres no way they can justify this race going ahead with the amount flooding in the area. Even if the track is okay enough, it would be a major middle finger to the people in the area if the local authorities decide to put significant resources to hosting a race instead of helping the people.
Race should be suspended. I think F1 is trying to stall the situation to not issue refunds.

A few hours later Damon & Matt get soaked to the bone. RACE CANCELLED!!! With all the high tech weather data F1 has you would think someone would've seen it coming in advance. It's like putting the washing out on the line when a thunder storm is coming you would never do that LoL.
Matt Baker's carefully coiffed hair shall remain just that then, & not have to endure a wet weekend in Italy….

I used to draw the the cigar shaped Lotuses when I was a little kid growing up in CT.

It’s a shame that there are good people there like Joylon Palmer, Sam Collins, Martin Brundle, but others just make me watch those races on mute.
Hope FIA brings some other tv networks to cover the sport
Damon Hill would have never won a Formula 1 Championship if Ayrton Senna had not had a crash and had died on that fateful day. A very opportunistic guy he is and it showed in his eyes when Ayrton was discussed during this Podcast.

Damon was a thinking man's driver, much like his Dad. I'm a fan of both. Years ago one of our authors was writing a book on the GP Champions during the first 25 years. I thought it would be interesting to see how the drivers had faired on the three classic tracks in use during those years. I "knew" that Fangio would score the most points at Monza, Nurburgring and Monaco. But, the actual winner was Graham Hill. Most of the editors were surprised at the result. Probably because G. Hill just quietly went about doing an outstanding job of driving, and developing, his cars. It seemed to me that Damon had a very similar quiet style of conducting himself and doing a great job with the cars.
