When a team of 50 people from the Lokayukta police reached to take action against Hema Meena, the guards posted at the bungalow stopped them. Then the team members who arrived in civil dress called themselves officers of the Animal Husbandry Department. Along with this, on the pretext of checking the solar panels installed in the bungalow, they entered inside. After this, Hema Meena, who was present inside, was made to sit in a room, seized her mobile phone and started action.

Divorced from her husband, Hema Meena is a resident of Chapna village in Raisen district. In the year 2011, he got a job on contract. At present, he is posted as Assistant Engineer in-charge in Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation.
According to Lokayukta DSP Sanjay Shukla, in the year 2020, there was a complaint against the Assistant Engineer (contract) in-charge of the Police Housing Corporation for earning disproportionate assets. In this case, the Special Police Establishment Bhopal Division (Lokayukta) Bhopal had started the investigation. There is a possibility of involvement of other officers in this matter. At present, further investigation is going on.
