A consultation has been launched in relation to the planned development of a new eco-friendly apartment hotel in central Manchester.
The site in question is located at 12-16 Piccadilly and comprises the Grade II listed former Union Bank building and adjoining land.
Lamington Group is behind the proposal to be operated by its Room2 Hometel brand.
The development aims to introduce the UK’s first Net Zero tall building and maximize public access spaces on the ground and upper floors.
Following public consultation, which is being overseen by Avison Young, the Scheduled Planning and Build applications are expected to be submitted to Manchester City Council in the summer of 2023.
