The BBC announced in November 2022 that it would be moved out of the building and that staff would move to alternative nearby MediaCity sites: Quay House and Dock House.

At the time, the BBC said its plans would reduce the size of its property portfolio as part of ongoing reforms to “deliver a simpler, leaner and more efficient organisation”. Moves are expected to be completed in spring 2024.

It also complements the adoption of hybrid working that has resulted in changes to the way we use our buildings.
“The public will not notice any changes to programs and services as a result of these changes.”
