Terrorist incidents have increased in Jammu and Kashmir. Recently, five army soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack in Kesari Hills area of Rajouri. Now the security forces have been alerted regarding the intelligence input regarding the terrorists. According to intelligence sources, Pakistan has activated its Border Action Team (BAT) across the border in front of the Rajouri sector on the Line of Control.
If intelligence sources are to be believed, the movement of terrorists has been recorded in Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Krishna Ghati and Bimber Gali. The BAT across the border is also active around this. Intelligence sources also told that after the investigation of the terrorists killed in Rajouri’s Kesari Hills, it has been revealed that Pakistan is giving war-like weapons to the terrorists.
Intelligence sources also say that Mujahid Battalion and Pakistan’s Border Action Team are helping terrorists to infiltrate the Jammu sector through the jungle. According to sources, BAT team is active at three places in POK. The Lanjote and Kalu areas in POK are also under threat from the BAT team.
Significantly, the Kalu launch pad across the border falls in front of the Poonch and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. According to intelligence sources, terrorist movement has increased in the villages near Peer Kalanjar, Dotilla, KG Top of PoK. Intelligence sources tell that there is movement of terrorists in four big locations Kotli, Langyot, Nikal and Khuiretta in front of Rajouri and Poonch sectors of Jammu and Kashmir in PoK.
What is bat?
BAT (Border Action Team) is a group of soldiers taken from the Special Forces of Pakistan. There are Pakistani soldiers as well as terrorists in BAT. These terrorists are also given training just like the army. They are prepared to attack the Line of Control. The ‘Bat’ team has been prepared by the Special Service Group (SSG). This team secretly attacks from behind with complete planning and targets the Indian security forces.
