AlphaTauri is the youngest Formula 1 team to receive three-star environmental accreditation – the FIA’s highest environmental award.
Launched in 2011, the FIA Environmental Accreditation Program aims to help motorsport and mobility stakeholders worldwide measure and improve their environmental performance.
And the team, based in Faezna, Italy, now receives this award from the FIA alongside other Formula 1 teams such as Alpine, Haas, Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin and Sauber.
As usual, AlphaTauri’s environmental performance was checked by the FIA as part of an official audit. After the review, the auditors said that AlphaTauri “has demonstrated a solid commitment to environmental management best practices”.
In order for AlphaTauri to move from a two-star to a three-star accreditation, the UK business must have been powered by 100% renewable energy, with 80% of the lights replaced by LEDs, saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions. emissions reported. They must also have minimized unnecessary off-calendar travel and streamlined logistics to reduce carbon emissions.
