The Four Most Important Choices You Can Make as a Parent – Crystal Paine

Crystal Paine, best known as the Money Saving Mom, was an anxious parent, caught up in rules and perfection. She was coasting as a mom of four, but one day, the façade of flawlessness came crashing down. Crystal was shocked to learn one of her children struggled at school , was considered a bully and was suicidal. This led to counseling, where Crystal discovered that her parenting choices had impacted her children in unhealthy ways. The therapist suggested she stop trying to fix and correct her children and just walk with them and love them instead. This was a revelation to Crystal. As God worked on her heart, her yelling, wounding and perfection-driven ways to interacting with her kids transformed into love-centered parenting. In this interview, Crystal will talk about the four most important choices we can make as a parent – lean in and love, listen well, lead with humility and let go. She’ll encourage moms and dads to drop their rigid rules and parents with grace for a more peaceful, faith-filled home.

  1. This woman has some wise words, but is clearly not old enough to have gone through the teenager phase or young adult phase. Where are the mature women writing parenting books, women who have actually lived through it all?

  2. Ive had to compromise severally and extended grace to them as the holy spirit led me ..they felt great but many times ,the bar keeps being raised

  3. Hello brothers and sisters. I would just like to recommend that everyone read the book ‘Raising Warriors: Preparing Your Children For a Godly Life’. Reading that book was the best desicion I ever made.
