The Lamborghini Urus Performante Special Edition is probably not for you

Inspired by racing, the Lamborghini Uro Performante Special Edition is a limited edition model created for the 40 enthusiasts who bought it the Essence SCV12. It distinguishes itself from the SUV on which it’s based with specific styling cues inside and out created by the Ad Personam division.

Standard carbon fiber Add-ons, including the panel between the taillights, help distinguish the special edition the Urus Performant. These parts are left exposed to highlight the use of material to save weight, but the similarities between the 40 Special Edition models will stop there. Ad Personam, the brand’s internal department that deals with designing unique and few cars, has created a livery that recalls the Essenza SCV12 and which is characterized by stylistic cues such as orange accents and black finishes in the lower part of the bodywork.

Lamborghinis the designers worked with Essenza owners to configure each Special Edition model, and many buyers created a matching pair; some of the designs are pictured in our gallery. Black brake calipers and 23-inch wheels are standard, although other options are available.

The interior layout hasn’t changed, but many of the design details are specific to the special edition. The cabin is finished in a color called Nero Cosmus and upholstered in a blend of black leather and Alcantara. There’s a glossy or matte carbon fiber trim depending on buyer preference, black anodized aluminum accents, and the Essenza logo on the passenger side of the dashboard. Two plates complete the look: one celebrates 60 years of Lamborghini and the other is engraved with the customer’s name.

While it would have been nice to pop the hood and come face-to-face with the Essenza’s 830-horsepower V12, the special edition uses the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the standard aurochs Performant. The engine develops 657 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 627 lb-ft of torque from 2,300 to 4,500 rpm, and spins all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. To reach 100 km/h from standstill it takes 3.3 seconds (the Performante is the fastest member of the Urus range) and the SUV does not stop accelerating until it reaches 300 km/h.

Pricing for the Lamborghini Urus Performante Special Edition has not been revealed, but there has been talk of the full production run.
