  1. I do it because it makes ME feel
    pretty. It gives me confidence.
I also don’t do a lot, just some concealer for under the eyes, mascara, highlighter and MAYBE some eye shadow, and lipgloss. that’s it. It makes me feel put together and ready even tho i’m not going anywhere

  2. While a lot of people started wearing make up to impress people, most of them are now people who enjoy wearing make-up to impress themselves and use it as a way of self-expression. To say all women do this backwards especially in today's changing ideals.

  3. I've heard men say "It shows that a lady takes care of her self because she takes care of her appearance." And I'm curious if men see the vast majority of other men smdh or if they realize the disparity in crimes against men vs women when there aren't more men then women or more women then men, we have a steady male and female population why are we more concerned about women "manipulating" men with makeup then that 55% of all murders in the US are domestic violence related or that 80% of those deaths are women… But sure distract yourselves so you don't have to see what you are letting happen, happen.

  4. The trickery and sorcery going on with makeup and filters, these days, is crazy and bizarre. I mean, the catfishing that is going on is nuts. Do these people not realize that they will actually meet these people some day and the men will see what they actually look like, if they start dating? I grew up in the 70s/80s and my mom never wore makeup, so I really didn't know how to use it. I did learn from friends and magazines, but I didn't wear a lot of makeup. I was always complimented because I didn't use a lot of make up. Fortunately, I had beautiful skin, and I still do. My daughter, who is 20, has some acne, so she doesn't wear any makeup, except doing her eyebrows, because foundation only makes the acne stand out. She used to put those goofy eyelashes on, I call them caterpillars, but she doesn't do that, anymore, and I think it is because I have told her that men don't like that. They like a more natural looking girl. She is a gem, she is traditional in EVERY way, she likes the way she looks, because she has self respect, self love. She knows her worth.
