The report classifies Sioux Falls No. 1 City for small businesses

Sioux Falls has been appointed the main city of the Nation for small businesses, according to a classification of the B2B Reviews website.

The methodology analyzed five key metrics using data from the US Census Office, which considers that a small company is one or less employed and at least $ 1,000 in annual income.

This is how Sioux Falls was in all the categories analyzed:

  • The population of the city as a percentage of the State: 23.28 percent
  • City GDP as a percentage of state GDP: 0.041 percent
  • City unemployment rate: 1.5 percent
  • Percentage of small businesses in the county: 25.24 percent
  • Average hour salary: $ 27.02

Sioux Falls was helped in the classification due to its low unemployment rate and the high percentage of small businesses within the State.
