Whose poverty, helplessness is taken advantage of and brainwashed easily. Recently news came from African country Kenya that bodies of more than 100 people have been found here.
He died after suffering from hunger. He was told by a priest that if you want to meet ‘Jesus Christ’, then starve till death. The name of the accused priest is Paul Makenji Nathenge. He was arrested on 14 April. He is responsible for the death of 103 people.
The matter was reported to the police by someone, after which, upon investigation, several graves were found in Mackenzie’s fields, in which people were not even buried properly. Along with this, 15 people suffering from hunger were found, out of which 4 died later. When the excavation was done, the process of finding dead bodies did not stop.
This incident has surprised the whole world. But the bigger thing is that such cases have come to the fore from other parts of the world as well. Before Paul McKenzie, the names of Jim Jones, Marshall Applewhite, Shoko Asahara and David Koresh have been added to this list. These are the people, because of which dozens or rather hundreds of their followers died. The only fault of the dead was that they trusted these people.
America
In 1954, a man named Jim Jones formed a religious organization named ‘Disciples of Christ’. It was described as a combination of Christian and Communist ideology. The number of its followers was in thousands. Jones ordered people to commit mass suicide in 1978. People drank cyanide-laced drinks. Those who opposed drinking, were given this poison through injection. More than 900 people died due to this. Most of these were children.
Their dead bodies were found in the South American country of Guyana. Jones had taken this land on lease. Jones was receiving large amounts of cyanide every month. He had obtained a jeweler’s license. At the same time, this cyanide was available on the pretext of cleaning gold. Jones recorded the incident on audio tape. It said, ‘Taking your life for yourself. we are tired. We are not committing suicide. We have committed revolutionary suicide protesting against the conditions of an inhuman world.
Uganda
In Uganda, a man and woman named Credonia Mwinde and Joseph Kibwetier formed a religious group in 1989. He claimed that he had visions of the Virgin Mary. This was the time when there was political and social upheaval in this country. People were losing faith in the Catholic Church. He claimed to the people in the time of 1990 that the apocalypse is going to come in the year 2000. Because of which his followers started preparing.
The people in their group sold their belongings and handed over all the money to these two. But when nothing happened on January 1, 2000, people started losing faith in him. Just once again to bring people under their control, they told the date of the end of the world as March 17, 2000.
Then organized a big party in Kunungu town. Then there was a huge explosion in the party building and a massive fire broke out. All 530 people who came to participate in it died. People could not escape from the building even if they wanted to, for this the windows and doors were closed. Earlier this case was considered as mass suicide but later it was declared as mass murder. Neither of these two was caught, all ran away.
America
Something similar happened with the people involved in another American religious movement named Heaven’s Gate. This group was described as a mixture of the ideology of Christianity, New Age and UFOlogy, while it got the name UFO Religion (religion). They believed that if they do not accept their human nature, they can go to heaven by climbing on UFO while alive. The name of the founder of the group was Bonnie Nettles. who died of cancer in 1985. They believed that the human body is just a vehicle for the soul and consciousness can travel far.
In October 1996, people of this group rented a house of 9600 square feet in Santa Fe, California. In the same month, he also bought Alien Abduction Insurance. Whose benefit is available on abduction by aliens. This is because then there were many rumors about aliens and people suddenly disappeared and then claimed that they were abducted by aliens. In Japan, in 1987, a man named Shoko Asahara started a religious movement named Om Shinrikyo. He called it a mixed form of many religions. Despite all the warnings, the Japanese government gave it legal recognition in 1989. Then Shinrikyo started appearing on television. His followers were increasing.
In 1992, he declared himself Christ (Jesus Christ). He used to claim that he would take the sins of others on his own head. He had also made contrary claims regarding the third world war. Even today this organization is present in Japan. He attacked Tocto Subway on March 20, 1995 with the help of nerve agent. In which 13 people died. While thousands of people have suffered due to its effect.
Vietnam
A man named Ka Van Liam could not see. He considered himself a prophet and the king of Tahi. This place is at a distance of 180 miles from the capital Hanoi. He told his followers living in the village that if they would give him money, he would build a road leading to heaven. By October, 1990, he had got about 10 thousand dollars.
This money was due to the hard work of illiterate and poor people. Then he asked his 53 followers to kill each other. Guns and other weapons were used for this. Till now, the reason has not been known that by what words he gave this order to the people, but it is believed that he was afraid of his fraud being exposed. He fled and was never caught again.
