TikToker Mizzy fined for breaking into house for prank video

A London teenager who broke into someone’s home without their permission as part of a TikTok prank video has been fined more than £300.

Bacari-Bronze O’Garro, 18, also known as Mizzy, pleaded guilty to violating a community protection order on May 15.

A court heard that the incident had been distressing to the victim and her family who were at home at the time.

The Thames Magistrates Court judge also gave O’Garro a two-year criminal conduct order.

Varinder Hayre, the prosecutor, told the court that O’Garro received a community protection notice in May of last year, on the condition that he not trespass on private property.

He then violated that notice by entering a family’s home, he said.

She described how O’Garro entered the property, went downstairs, sat down on a couch, and said “is this where the study group is?”

Ms. Hayre added that both the victim and the husband asked her to leave multiple times.

“It was discovered that he had filmed the entire incident for a TikTok trend about breaking into random houses.”

The incident has caused “a lot of anguish” for the family and the faces of the victims and their two young children could be seen on the video, he said.

Lee Sergent, in mitigation, said that O’Garro had apologized to the family.

He said his client was raised by a single father and had a difficult upbringing.

“He is an intelligent young man and a young man with some potential,” Sergent told the court.

Judge Charlotte Crangle ordered that O’Garro must not post videos directly or indirectly to social media without the documented consent of the people appearing in the content, must not trespass on private property, and must not attend the Westfield Center in Stratford . .

He also ordered O’Garro to pay a £200 fine, as well as a £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs, for a total of £365.
