UK’s answer to Selling Sunset coming soon to Netflix

A reality show following the estate agents flogging some of London’s most luxurious mansions is launching on Netflix in a matter of weeks.

Buying London stars property mogul Daniel Daggers, who began selling studio flats in 1998 and has now gone on to sell £5 billion worth of properties to the rich and famous. Netflix’s official synopsis reads: “Property mogul Daniel Daggers and his ambitious team of agents at DDRE Global take on and challenge London’s luxury property market in this brand-new Netflix series, Buying London.

“The talented team set out to conquer the super prime high-end real estate market from the prestigious streets of Mayfair to the exclusive enclaves of Holland Park as we follow the group as they navigate the intricacies of their personal lives as well as striving to make their mark in the glamorous world of luxury real estate.”

In a teaser clip released by Netflix, Daniel, who dubs himself Mr. Super Prime, explains: “For decades, the luxury property market has been dominated by large companies who are stuck in their ways. These organisations tend to employ the cliche real estate agent. Old school money, went to the right universities. They look the same, they act the same. There’s a few of them wearing jumpers around their shoulders.”

Daniel went on to start up his own business, DDRE, to ‘revolutionise’ the industry. “We’re a small, independent agency, but I believe London is ready for industrial change. So I put together a team a team of agents who are hungry as well to take on the competition,” he explained.

Among his team is former Made In Chelsea star Rosi Walden – and while she isn’t in the trailer, it is thought she’ll make an appearance on the new show.

Buying London is similar to Netflix hit Selling Sunset, which ran for seven seasons after launching in March 2019. The programme showcased the drama at The Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles, California, where elite real estate brokers sold the luxurious life to their affluent buyers.
