According to Bugatti, panels that meet Bugatti standards receive a clear coat spray that is then sanded and polished to create a shine that emphasizes the weave of the fibers. An optional color stain is applied as a second coat, followed by up to three coats of clear coat.

Production of the Bugatti Chiron and its related variants are coming to an end, but the automaker’s carbon fiber craftsmen won’t have much downtime. A successor to Chiron will debut in 2024 and launch in 2026. Bugatti is expanding its plant in Molsheim, France, and adding 50% more staff in preparation for the post-Chiron era.
