The Midwest States “Road to Prosperity” event included self-employed individuals, small businesses and communities from Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. As a result, participants got more bank referrals and business development help. The Midwest event featured experts and dynamic discussions in the consistent areas of capital access and government contracting. The event also placed special emphasis on the agricultural industry’s value-added production and connections between suppliers and companies, as requested by local partners. The objectives of these two emphases were to promote awareness and accelerate the adoption of value-added business practices and increase access to markets through corporate purchasing programs, respectively.

Expert participants included owners and operators of agricultural businesses such as Tabletop Farm, R/Farms, Green Grass Cattle Company, and Midwest and Southern grocery chain Hy-Vee.
