Victoria Small Business Fair connects resources and support with entrepreneurs

On Thursday, the City of Victoria hosted the Small Business Resource Fair in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center at Texas A&M University-Victoria and the Victoria Chamber of Commerce. The event allowed attendees to connect with companies and organizations that provide different services to homeowners and entrepreneurs.
At the come-and-go event, 41 different organizations were present, offering a variety of services to attendees, including financial services, human resources, cybersecurity and networking.
At 3 pm, attendees heard a panel discussion moderated by Mayor Duane Crocker with Small Business Development Center Director Lindsay Young, Victorian Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jeff Lyon, and small business owners Casey Housworth (Rapid Printing, Budget Blinds, The UPS Store) and Erica Briggs (ParaVida Wellness, Vida Café & Market).
Panelists discussed the challenges of being a small business owner, lessons learned and practical tips for small business owners.
