THE Volkswagen ID.7 is officially here in sedan form, but what about a wagon? This is exactly the vehicle we are looking at right here spy photoand it’s the first time we see the ID.7 in this body shape.
This chariot mimics the concept car That VW revealed to Los Angeles Auto Show in 2020. That concept was called Space Vizzinand while VW confirmed a production version for Europe at the time, nothing was known about its fate in the United States. Of course, VW has a history of selling carts this side of the ocean. He also revealed the concept in the US instead of Europe, hence the Models fate here is still an open question.
There are no big surprises in the camouflaged car itself, as it largely looks like a station wagon version of the ID.7 sedan. A similar design language to that of the ID.7 can be seen both front and rear, but instead of the sedan’s sloping sportback shape, this model fully commits to the station wagon silhouette. The rear wheels on this particular tester are identical to those we saw on the ID.7 revelation car, and the same can be said for the door handles as well.
If VW decides to bless us with the chariot version of the ID.7, we suspect it will share many of the same specs and similar interior design as the sedan. VW says it’s targeting a range of more than 300 miles with the sedan, but final specs haven’t been released yet. The wagon likely would have bumped within a few miles of the sedan due to its less slippery shape. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models may also be available, with the fastest version hitting 60 mph in the low 5-second range.
Again, all of this could very well be for naught, as VW could continue with its strategy of keeping its full-size wagons away from America as it has for the past like recently. That said, there’s still a chance this electric chariot isn’t forever forbidden fruit, so we’ll be following its development.
