Alonso will get a podium this year.
SERGIO Perez will fight and defend HIMSELF as a LION*
So we have gone from an era of boring merc domination, to a really close season where redbull caught merc, now we are in an era of boring redbull domination, No doubt a major overhaul in 5 years time
Martin Brundle is looking more like Paul Daniels every day… Not a lot!
Another year for you lot to realise the budget cap isn’t working and actually have an adverse effect most didn’t foresee.
I’m obviously referring to the fact that despite having the least of allowances and dealing with a penalty, RBR is on his way to another year of domination and furthermore unrivalled competition.
RBR already has half a second on its closest rivals.
Even if Mercedes closed the gap they’ve had last year to RBR, that gap has just increased by another half a second.
Normally I would congratulate RBR for their perseverance and dedication. But since 2021 it’s a different story. We were promised a tighter fight and racing. We’ve seen the closer racing but what good does it if the title is so early decided in the year.
The fact is that RBR has disproportionately benefited from the cost cap regulations and even a penalty for overspending won’t make a difference.
I’m obviously talking about the budget cap restricting every team other than RBR from redoing or correcting their car in 2022. Which has led RBR to have gained an advantage of 10 months to the entire field.
How can we expect close racing if even the teams that actually can close the gap to RBR is prohibited to do so by decree of the budget cap?
You can expect the gap of 10 months will only compounded by the end of the year to 20 months ahead in development. Which means even though RBR wins again the title for driver and constructors, no one else is able to catch up to RBR as the budget cap rules will prevent that from happening.
Even if hypothetically Mercedes will finish last and receive the most allowance for testing, they still can’t catch up as the requirements to stay ahead for RBR only needs to be marginally compared to the teams trying to close the gap.
It’s close to impossible to close a second for a team without a budget cap, but it’s nowhere near possible to even improve the car and shave off a second with a budget cap in place. It means the unintended consequences of the budget cap is that it has facilitated by decree of the budget cap an unrivalled domination position for RBR.
Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston Martin can try but already know before hand that the budget cap is the limiting factor that prevents them from actually competing as their best.
In fact just like last year Mercedes benefited from having a poor result at the last race by dnf Hamilton. It meant they ended 3rd and got more testing allowances.
So, bluntly said… it pays to underperform!
There is no sport known where it pays to underperform. And even if you underperform a lot the intention that it will all equals itself out is just incorrect. As it stands Williams did improve, but will never be in contention for the title.
It’s time the budget cap is up for review.
If Aston Martin has given Alonso the 3rd fastest car, then he will be an enormous thorn in Red Bull's side. The last time Alonso had the 3rd fastest car was 2013 and he finished 2nd in the championship.
I want to look forward to 2023, but I just can't. All the early signs are leading towards another incredibly boring Red Bull dominated year.
We have learnt from previous pre-season testing that we cannot trust anything we learnt from pre-season testing.
I am expecting AMRF1 to win some races in 2023.
alpine is now realising what they lost, by not paying enough their star driver !
I know it’s just a showcar but that front wing looks absolutely stunning
Lewis addicts. That's what they are.
RB is gonna win 5 in a row
As a, very very junior, member of the works team that last fielded an Aston Martin formula one car, I am delighted to see them back and, hopefully, competitive.
Red Bull will win all the races. Mark my words
I don't think either redbull, ferrari or Mercedes have shown their full hand in testing, and Ferrari are definitely sandbagging –
All will be revealed this weekend!
How much did redbull overspend this year????????
My prediction for this year:
It’s gonna be a tough one for Sky Sports now that their golden child Hamilton isn’t competing for nr.1. They’ll stab at verstappen any chance they get.
I wonder how many teams will overspend this year
Mercedes is just sandbagging.Wait until the racing starts.
Great another year of gutless pathetic Charles just letting max win because he's scared to race him. Most mentally weak sportsperson I've ever seen hope he crashes and breaks legs 1st race so they can replace the little rich boy with no fight.
OMG please stop saying that drivers look relaxed!! Every video, several times over – what's the value in this?? Of course Max looks relaxed, why wouldn't he… He probably also looks sleepy when he's tired, cranky when he's hungry and annoyed if you tell him that Lewis is faster – big news!
I think Aston will excite us all and be 3rd best, for 2 or 3 races and tgem Merc takes over for the rest of the season, and they'll end up 2nd. With Aston giving Ferrari a scare. Leclerc is a winner, but Carlos just isn't quite good enough.
Aston Martin is going to be fast this year because its not weighted down by Seb's propoganda anymore.
In the mean time,Lewis is on the phone to Christian for the 2024 season ….
Red Bull again win this season 🎉🔥 that we learned
Love that Mercedes kept the car black and removed the side pods Now Lewis can show off his gold chains, earrings, teeth and other bling bling much better.
Wasn;t the new regulations suppossed to make it so that one team doesn't dominate for many years? Seems like it's doing the opposite
Karun Simpin for Reddull.. Absolutely unbelievable
Fun to watch…… When Max wins it must be the car…… When Hamilton loses it must be the car.
You forgot to add "from half of the grid" to your video title…
so we're ready to crown red bull as the champs based off of TESTING?????? this has to be a joke
Redbull will start ahead for the first few races closely followed by ferrari that will catch up and end up winning both championship.
Mercedes will be racing alone with possibly Alonso.
Aston Martin will just grab 4th in the championship.
Mclaren will get 5th after playing catch up.
Then Alpine
Alfa romeo
Hass
Alpha tauri
And finally Williams that will make a huge comeback in 2026 after using a Honda power unit along with Mclaren. 2026 we will see a huge title fight with Williams, Mclaren and ferrari. Can't wait 😄
If Aston surprises this year, maybe Hamilton to AM?
Max is gonna dominate again this year. Also I really hope Fernando has finally made a good career decision. ( it seems that way)
That the Cost Cap Champions are ready to dominate again
Can't wait for the media hyped bull twang from the biased british self righteous gang.
