What to watch at the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix: Norris goes for victory as two drivers fight back after penalties

From the championship front two occupying the front row to the threats directly behind; and from the two favourites starting outside the top-10 to an unseen challenge due to the conditions, here are some areas to watch during Sunday’s race at Zandvoort.

1. Norris looks to convert from pole position

Lando Norris has started from pole position on the grid five times in his Formula 1 career so far (three in a Grand Prix and two in a Sprint), and is yet to lead at the end of any of the opening laps. It’s a run that began when he made a strong start at Sochi in 2021 but fell back on the long straight to the first braking zone, and this year he dropped to third in both Barcelona and Budapest.
