  1. The week before my period, I was crazy rampant wild cavewoman, like your body is screaming breed now breed now 😂 I’m old now, no periods. HRT definitely helps though, like I’m back to normal, but no cycle, no low and high, a sort of gentle coasting along. A few turns of the key gets the ignition going. 😂

  2. Wow, 53 and "just starting to go". I'm 44 and have had less than 10 periods in the last 4 years and none at all for 15 months now.

    Almost like clockwork as soon as I turned 40 I began missing cycles. The ob/gyn said "we have to run tests to figure out why you're not bleeding" but I already knew the answer — genetics. My grandmother was 45 when she stopped and my mom was 40 when she went into it.

    I'm just posting this because if anyone else out there is only a bit over 40 and already stopping they don't need to run a bunch of tests on you just because you don't fit the world average which is something like 51. Sometimes it's genetics and other times it's just your time.

    I knew someone that was 37 and someone else that bled til 60. That is a long time to go but it sometimes happens.

    Curious to watch the whole interview now, to see if she touches on the menopause topic anymore and how it effects mood after we stop. I knew about the libedo and mood fluctuations but not that ovulation could effect creativity. Very interesting, thanks for posting.

  5. Hmm not sure about this simplistic model and reducing ones partber to flesh ag with changing hormones. Yes, they certainly play a part but this proscriptive approach WD be a huge turn off for me. A broad awareness and sensitivity to ones part wrist great though. I had a partner pre husband who basically was the male who did all you suggested and it drove me crazy and killed spontaneity and everything I said or did was because of you know. Eucht . Guys don't follow this too wholeheartedly.

  6. She is only ovulating on day 14 is she has a 28 day cycle. It’s 14 days before the first day of your period. The first few days of your cycle you’re having a period. Some women are fine. Some have cramping and a plethora of symptoms. Tired. A cycle can be anywhere from 28-35 days. She’s incorrect if she thinks most women ovulate on day 10. That would give you a 24 Day cycle. That’s short. Assuming you’ll have the symptoms she refers to isn’t accurate. Many women have none or have acclimated to them so well, it’s a norm.

  7. How can I tell if a woman is 10-15 days after her first day? Is there a way that I can know without asking or invading her privacy? I just need to know. If I had that insight I'd be a beast.

  8. Utterly Ridiculous! 1st of all, most people can't remember what they had for breakfast. 2nd of all:. This is what Sex education is supposed to teach in school! A grown woman should know her cycle. 3rd:. If you're in a relationship and you have mood issue during your cycle, you communicate this with your partner! If you're living together you should have a place where you can keep a chart (used to be available at women's centers)
    Grown woman are expected to deal with life and not use your menses as an excuse. If it's really bad, then you need to explain this to people you deal closely with.
    A healthy keto diet and getting enough rest does wonders to regulate hormones.

  9. Since I had my daughter I don’t get any pains any more which is amazing. It’s mainly the pms symptoms I get 10-12 days before the period that turn me into a a different person and is really hard. Mood swings, irritability, fatigue, tearfulness, emotionally sensitive, food cravings that ruin my health goals I’ve been sticking to the rest of the month. I feel like I only get about 5 days of feeling amazing before it starts all over again 😂 a good diet and exercise does really help but it’s hard to keep it up when you feel like that.

  10. Where I work they’ve been doing a massive thing about supporting women who are menopausal and I saw a poster with some of the symptoms. And I was like OK, I feel like that for a couple days every single month and get no support and can’t talk to anyone about it. It’s no where near as bad as when I was a teenager when hormones are on overdrive. I keep track of my cycle on Fitbit app and it helps me manage my illness too.

  11. She's generalised all different women…..all of us don't have that strong mood swings….. mostly we are just how human beings are supposed to be…… there's a difference between teenagers and grown women…. someone tell her please….

  12. I like your non inquisitorial/ confrontational style, but I find your lack/paucity of analysis a bit difficult. Eg what are the study sizes, is there evidence of modern life/ culture/ class/ work/home situation affecting outward displays of hormonal fluctuations?
