What an absolute machine this guy was. I never really liked him, but he earned all my respect with this. I broke a collar bone and 9 ribs on a track day and was out of action for 7 months. This guy had a surgery during the lunch time and continued riding after.
These moto gp companies are merciless they should have given him 3 months rest. But it’s all money for them. Fuck them

I’m a Honda fan all day everyday so obviously i dont like JL99, until the day he joint the team, but his talent and his love for the sport are undisputed. He battled all the legends of his time, won WDC against Rossi, Stoner, Marquez and Dani at their prime, that’s truly remarkable !
Unbelievable race, surgery made in collar bone on nxt day in track its purely impossible but lorenzo made history to motogp. On of the most greatest underrated rider.#jl99

Coming from a Rossi fan, must say this guy gave Rossi a run for his money out of the box and took everyone by surprise with his pace. Huge respect for the legend from the era of pure racing.
I think Rossi won that race and in post race interview he told that Lorenzo was the real winner of the grand prix! respect!

He tried so hard to be Rossi, just wasn’t enough.
even i didnt like lorenzo, this was incredible. and this was motogp at his finest. no spoiler bull shit, no auto lowering the bike on the exit corners, no crazy electronics. Only drivers, fast bikes and skills….we want this time back.

nothing to say about the courage he showed but he admits that in that period Motogp was less competitive and fitted in order to put the trio Rossi-Marquez-Lorenzo in another level.
