Which Sarasota-Area Businesses Were Honored at the Prestigious Frank G. Berlin Small Business Award Event?

SARASOTA — Nine local businesses were honored and recognized by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and 600 supporters at Friday’s Frank G. Berlin Small Business Awards at the Hyatt Regency.

From mental health startups to long-standing businesses with thousands of local employees, the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce welcomed finalists with a variety of services to the area.

Chamber President and CEO Heather Kasten thanked all of the event’s finalists and shared information about the chamber’s growing impact and reach in the region in the 33 years since the inaugural awards ceremony.

Awards were given out in nine qualifying categories for this year’s event: small, medium and large companies; community impact business; minority-led businesses; women-owned businesses; Rising Star; workforce development and innovation; and non-profit organization. Here’s who took home the 2023 Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Awards this year:

Finalists were judged by a 30-member committee that selected winners based on various criteria, including product or service innovation, business growth, and community contributions.

“Our Chamber is all about celebrating small business,” Kasten said. “This awards ceremony brings together more than 500 community members to honor and recognize the local people and businesses behind our region’s rapid growth; after all, small businesses are the heart and soul of our community.”

About 600 attendees gathered Friday for the annual Frank G. Berlin Small Business Award Luncheon hosted by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
