McLaren will run a special chrome-inspired livery at their home race, the British Grand Prix, as they continue their one-year 60th anniversary celebrations.

The design is a nod to their fan-favorite chrome livery, which they wore between 2006 and 2014, an era that was defined by Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 drivers’ world championship.

That was the last time McLaren tasted world championship success, as the British operation brought its livery back to the team’s roots with the use of papaya.

The special livery, which will grace both MCL60 race cars at this weekend’s race at Silverstone, has been designed in conjunction with partner Google, and was unveiled at the McLaren Technology Center in Woking on Monday.

Lando Norris will wear a special chrome helmet design and bespoke racing boots, while he and teammate Oscar Piastri will both wear uniquely designed racing suits.
