MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) – A trailer has been stolen from a storage facility in Odessa, and with it, the inventory of a small business.
Laverne Woroshuck and her fiancé Steven Bailey are worried about keeping their business afloat.
In the video you can see, two men break into a storage facility in Midland, stealing a trailer owned by Laverne Woroschuck and her fiance Steven Bailey, inside it, items for their small boutique store called Z and JOX-A.
The stolen property puts financial pressure on Laverne and her own company.
“Basically I can’t do any markets until I get the trailer back so my business is out of it like the profit I would make running those markets I will have to replace everything in it to be able to continue running my business and as a small company, it is a big expense for which I was not prepared”
Now it’s a question of who and why someone would break in and steal the trailer.
“We believe it was a target or they saw me, they saw the trailer, because they went directly to that trailer, it was locked, it had chains, it had a rope lock, very hard. steal, but they succeeded,” said Steven Bailey.
The day Laverne found out the trailer had been stolen, she was scheduled to be a salesperson in Lo. St Market in downtown Midland, but without her trailer and everything for her business in it, she had to cancel.
Now Laverne has few options.
“So basically I need to get the trailer back with the stuff inside, or I’ll have to put out an insurance claim to replace everything, so I can manage the local markets.”
“We will definitely give a reward for finding our trailer because it’s been a hassle, it’s been stressful, we need the trailer, for me to go through insurance and get another trailer, it’s going to take a while so we wait to get it back.”
The reward will be $1,000 to anyone who can provide information in the recovery of the stolen trailer.
