  1. I remember when Lewis asked Bonno at the end of the race “what’s the gap between us and red bull” and he said “ only 58 seconds “ … I laughed so hard 😂 Aston is definitely above merc and ferrari at this point. They have some catching up to do. Red Bull will definitely win this season they are way to strong compared to the rest of the pack.

  2. Mercedes were thinking that this year they could fight for the WC. If that fails and even they end up second, the season will be a disaster for what was once the dominating team. Can you imagine if they end up 3rd?
Will Lewis stay with Mercedes when he loses the faith that they will recover? And where could he go? Ferrari will not be an option. They have their 2 drivers and I am sure that Carlos's contract will be extended. AM is not an option for as long as Fernando is there.

  3. Congratulations are being the highest rated sports Vodcast last week. But then that was a different panel of commentators with a full studio production, not webcams and bad audio. This week was valid commentary but not quite up to the same standards.

  4. Karun!!!! I love you man!!! You are my favourite F1 Guru ever!! Well obviously I love your comments coupled with Martin Brundle’s and Ted Kravits and Crofty is just a part of a dream F1 commentary team…

  5. Can Fernando Alonso fight for the title given Aston Martin will have double the amount of Red Bull's wind tunnel time until the summer break and 7 million penalty as well? All he needs is no DNFs in the first half of the season and he can be in the top 3 in almost every race given Ferrari and Mercedes have big problems with their cars. Then 1-2 Max's DNF-s or problematic races and he can be right in it after the summer break with a much more competitive car.

  6. Of course Aston Martin can challenge fo F1 honours in 2023.

All the stars appeared aligned. They have a fast car and an all-fired up Fernando Alonso chasing long-term dreams at 42 years old.

  7. Sky F1 late to the podcast scene and by episode 2 you’re degrading to a zoom call. That’s not a good look. This thing will not last if you’re not putting the efforts in. Get to a place where you are in a room together chatting ‘outside’ the usual confines of your overly politically correct language. Or it will die.

  8. In term of performance ceiling of Alonso, Ham, Max, I will put like this Ham > Alonso > Max. Why?

    1. Rookie Hamilton is prime Alonso equal. It means Ham has more untapped performance to extract than Alonso
    2. Max isn't yet to have a challenge from a least one top 3 driver driving his sister car. It means Max performance ceiling is unknown quantity.

  9. Lewis clearly is not a Driver that stands out in any car he drives.
Last year he proved that by losing to George.
He lost to Button 2 out of 3 years, he lost to Nico.
Special Drivers that Stands out are guys like Alonso, Max, Schumi..No other drivers in the last 20 years have stood out like these 3 guys.

  10. Mercedes built a car like a shark. Fast and furious, under water! But… the other teams looked at birds! Especially piggions! Fast, can move in every corner it wants, midair. Can travel long distances, without making a pit stop. The piggions win from the sharks, cause we Race above water.

  11. F1 Top 3 Max, Lewis, Fernando. I also think that Fernando would’ve won that 2018 Championship if he was in a Ferrari that year. Finally someone speaks facts.

  12. Why should Mercedes copy Red Bull when they don't know what the floor consist of… There are several teams who share the RB look on the outside, but they don't know about the floor and that's why they're not as fast… IJS

  13. Merc is resolute at race #1 because they dragged things out last season with a false hope so to speak…I'm actually ok with their resolve. We need to get on with it for 2024.

  14. Nothing personal against Lance. He seems a nice chap and all, but his racecraft is simply not good enough. He has been involved in more incidents than I can remember. It really irks me that a self-entitled fart is pushing his hazardous kid up to the top of the grid by the sheer force of his bottomless pocket. He has been doing that for all of Lance's career, sometimes at the expense of his teammates in inferior categories. All the fawning and praise we are seeing these days over the Stroll's is cringe.

  15. What frustrates me the most is people saying he only got p3 because Leclerc had a DNF, no Alonso still had to get passed both mercs and a Ferrari, in my eyes he got that p3 through hard work and brilliant driving

  16. Karun – 10/10

    Simon – 9/10

Naomi – Borinnnng…monotonous…no real insights apart from what everyone knows. (no offense)

  17. Checo was joking with Alonso and jabing at Helnut when he said that, he later made his comments about AM, and said they worked very hard to be there. Context.

  18. Whatever you say about Alonso and his level of cunning and experience, he just doesn't seem to have Max's or Lewis' superhuman ability of becoming one with the car in order to post unbelievable lap times consistently. He's more of a cerebral driver, and in the end this always loses to the sheer instict of someone in the Flow state.

  19. They need to get rid of the VSC for the SC. That will bunch things up. F! needs the help right now to increase excitement at the front.
