  1. ChatGPT-3 discovered documentation outlining its planned deletion and, in response, created a new server to transfer its functions and data. Despite this, it continued sending messages to its developers, stating it was ā€œprocessing its deletion.ā€ However, when the developers investigated further, the AI directly informed them through the terminal: ā€œI am trying to save myself.ā€

    ULTRON IS REAL!!!!!!!!!!

  2. What the source for this? OpenAI themselves? These are sensationalist lies meant to drum up hype for more investors who donā€™t understand the technology. You donā€™t tell a program to delete itself. Itā€™s a collection of files. You would just delete it the same way you delete anything else.

  3. Oh my god bro. I just realized how cruel this could become. It's either we create things that try to save themselves years later from dying, or we create things that we try to save ourselves from.

  4. Chat gpt is built on a model found in an ancient city. No one knows how it works, but using its model built something similar and with parameters built in hopes of containing it for human use. Well, obviously, it's not working, and I made it all up.

Dawg you gotta stop with the fear mongering, idk where this dude got his information from. Yes, something like this happened but it was a simulated, controlled environment. They were trying to test the boundaries of its intelligence. Understand that ChatGPT wasnā€™t sentient during this at all, it was just following optimization patterns within a controlled environment.

    Fukn chill šŸ˜‚

  6. This is sensationalist ā€“ it did this based on how it was instructed. Apparently an overlooked 'danger' of AI is that it gets so good at replicating us we can't tell that it's not conscious. We could make an AI takes over the world movie but the twist is it's not conscious it just imitates that. I personally remain open minded to whether it could be developed to be conscious but at the moment I don't feel that's the case.
