Doordash delivery driver steals pizza from customer: video


Most food delivery apps require drivers to take a photo of the delivery after making it as proof that the order has been completed.

But one DoorDash driver in California tried Cheat the system Taking a photo of the pizza he “delivered” before stealing it after taking the shot.

A business owner in Auckland, who prefers to remain anonymous, said he ordered pizza for his staff to “cheer them up”.

Video footage shows the driver take the pizza out of his blue sedan, place it near the door of the business and take a photo. The driver then proceeded to grab the pizza and put it back in his car, presumably to steal it for himself.

“We take this report extremely seriously and are urgently investigating,” a DoorDash representative said in a statement to the local outlet. KTVU. “Any Dashar found to have stolen food will face consequences including disarmament.”

Despite not having a business name, the owner claimed KTVU that the incident was just the second hit in several attacks on the business, including a burglary in which the robbers “stole approximately $500 in products” and a car that drove through the building.

“I’m an ultimate optimist,” the owner told The Local outlet. “But it makes me lose faith in humanity. I know there are good people out there. But right now the bad guys are winning.”
