Hulkenberg comfortably surpassed Magnussen by a lap in 2024, starting inside the top half of the field on 11 occasions, compared to three for his team-mate, including that notable top-six finish on the Silverstone grid and another in the Singapore streets.
It was quite a challenge for the German when he faced super sub Ollie Bearman, who used his impressive Ferrari debut in Jeddah to outperform Hulkenberg in the two weekends he replaced Magnussen in Azerbaijan and Sao Paulo.

The showdown between Hulkenberg and Magnussen was almost identical as far as racing goes, with one eliminated due to his double retirement at the Monaco Grand Prix: the former’s best result was sixth compared to the latter’s best result of seventh in Mexico. .
