Maclaren lost Gulf to Williams. Siedl moved on. That says a lot! Gulf – remember their fantastic livery in Monaco 2021? Also, his body language speaks volumes. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not feeling confident about Maclaren this year. Obviously, he's not confident. They may not even achieve what they did last year. But let's see how they do in spring training next week.

The level of sponsorships at McLaren is just absolute world-class. I really see them be title contender from 2025 onwards.

Maclaren are in great shape IF they have a race winning car. It needs to be fast. The driver line-up looks like a superstar team.

Zak isn’t a “In haste, repent at leisure” guy.
Zak knows exactly what needs to be done and over a period of time has had to rebuild/re model McLaren. He’s brought some really big names in as sponsors. Those sponsors don’t handover cash without some reassurances. So I think I’m confident in saying they know something that we don’t.
Zak’s/McLaren’s goal has been 2025 and beyond. The investments and sacrifices that have been made are nearly over. Once done those new toys (Wind-tunnel, Simulator) will attract new talent which they’ll hire to extract and understand the new data.
I don’t expect this season will be fun for them because they’ll want to focus their efforts into 2024. Which means Zak and Stella will have to hold the team together and be a punching bag. However, this season would be a good opportunity to test out new ways of doing things in anticipation for the new beginning and the installation year 2024.
Lando is in one of the best seats of the grid. Zak and the team have invested heavily into him. Currently the top teams can only go one way, McLaren/Lando have options.

Can I just say that Zak Brown is getting boring to me?
He feels like the equivalent of Lawrence Stroll, however Stroll does not pipe up unless he really feels he needs to, Brown however feels like he craves the spotlight.
I'd love to see how the McLaren teams communicates and handles itself if he wasn't such a public persona.
I'd love to hear from the actual team principal, I'd like to hear more from the drivers and I'd love to hear a lot less from Zak.
I have enjoyed McLaren CEO Zak Brown on Lando Norris title hopes for 2023 season and rookie Oscar Piastri.
