Heidrick CFO leaving to join PR firm

June 18, 2024

Heidrick & Struggles International (NASDAQ: HSII) CFO Mark Harris is leaving the company in August to join public relations firm FGS Global as CFO. Heidrick has already begun a search for a new top financial exec.

“I am immensely appreciative of Mark for his partnership and wish him the very best in his next professional endeavor,” Heidrick CEO Tom Monahan said in a press release.

“Our internal team is exceptional, and as premier leaders in executive search, I am confident that we will identify the next world-class CFO to help create unmatched value for clients, colleagues and investors,” Monahan added.

Harris assumed the CFO role in March 2018 after serving as deputy CFO starting the month before. Prior to that, Harris had been CFO at Hercules Capital, a publicly traded business development firm.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished during my time at Heidrick & Struggles and honored to have worked with such a talented and dedicated global team,” Harris said in a press release.

Heidrick also today reiterated second-quarter guidance for consolidated net revenue of between $255 million and $275 million, which represents a year-over-year decline of 6.0% to an increase of 1.4%.

Heidrick provides executive search, on-demand talent and consulting services. The CFO departure wasn’t the only major personnel announcement at the firm this year. Heidrick CEO Monahan was appointed as top executive in January after former CEO Krishnan Rajagopalan decided to retire. Also this year, Heidrick named Sunny Ackerman as global managing partner of on-demand talent.

Outgoing CFO Harris will join PR firm FGS Global on Sept. 3.

“With nearly three decades of experience, Mark’s proven track record of success overseeing global finance operations in numerous industries, including professional service organizations, will be instrumental as we continue to build the leading communications advisory firm for the stakeholder economy,” Alex Geiser, global CEO of FGS, said in a statement.
