North Northampthonshire £ 25k subsidies from small businesses announced

A Council has announced two new subsidies schemes designed to help small businesses “become more resistant.”

North Northampthonshire Council has launched the Rural Business Subsidies Scheme and the Business Growth Schemewhich will allow companies to request subsidies between £ 5,000 and £ 25,000.

The money can be used to pay the equipment, build extensions or carry out alterations, among its uses.

George Candler, executive director of place and economy in the Council, said “would make a difference for companies in North Northants.”

Subsidies have been financed through Rural England Prosperity Fund and the United Kingdom shared prosperity fund.

They are aimed at companies within North Northampthonshire with less than 49 employees.

Companies must have been quoting for at least 12 months and can only receive a subsidy in a single financial year.

The subsidies scheme will finance 50% of a project, which must be delivered before January 31, 2026, and companies must match the financing.

Grant requests will be open until 08:00 BST of June 23.
