Optimum Business, Lia Foundation Renew Small Business Subavencer Long Island Business Newss

Small businesses in Nassau and Suffolk counties can request subsidies to help them grow their business.

That is thanks to the uprising of the business of our community in Long Island, or local subsidies of small businesses. Now in its second year, the program is through optimal businesses, a supplier of Internet fiber services, mobile, television and telephony, and the LIA Foundation, the charitable arm of the Long Island association, the largest business group in the region.

The program will finance 40 small companies selected with $ 5,000 each. New this year, two businesses, one in Nassau, one in Suffolk, they will receive $ 25,000 each. The Progam aims to contribute to the prosperity of the communities that companies serve.

In addition, the LIA will offer a complementary membership of six months and one year to the LIA, respectively, for the program’s applicants and the recipients of subsidies that are new in LIA to promote their development and help them build their networks.

Subsidies are possible by the founding partner of the program, Optimum Business. The LIA continues to associate with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Long Island and the African -American Chamber of Commerce of Long Island to expand the scope on the program.

“Small companies feed the vitality of our region, and the objectives of the local subsidy program of small businesses are empowering entrepreneurs, creating jobs and improving the general quality of life of residents in Long Island,” he added.

To date, Optimum Business and the LIA Foundation have granted $ 250,000 in subsidies to 50 small companies in Long Island to support their growth and help the region.

The program “provides support to small businesses to the regional economy of Long Island and serves as a marketing function to highlight commercial success in Long Island,” said Phil Andrews, president of the African -American Chamber of Commerce of Long Island, in the press release. “Supporting small businesses in Long Island creates and maintains jobs in Long Island that supports a strong economy of Long Island.”

Subsidies “represent a critical investment in the future of our small businesses. Hispanic property companies, in particular, continue to browse the durable effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, facing continuous challenges in the recovery process,” said Luis Vázquez, president of the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, in the press release. “These subsidies will provide essential financial support to help them grow, create jobs and contribute even more to the communities they serve. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and the various entrepreneurs who drive them are key to Long Island’s prosperity. We are proud to play a role in raising our business community and guaranteeing a prosperous and inclusive economic future for all. ”

The winners of the subsidy will be announced at the end of this year. Optimum Business will then organize recognition events this summer with local officials and community partners who join the celebrations.
