TECH WEEKLY: What do McLaren’s latest updates tell us ahead of the Italian Grand Prix?

In addition to the all-new floor, wakeboards and floor grooves from Hungary, McLaren brought to Zandvoort a new rear spoiler, engine cover, diffuser tweaks and new front wheels as discrete performance add-ons.

“The items are not linked as a package,” he explained McLaren Zandvoort Parts technical director Neil Houldey. “They all provide aerodynamic performance as individual components and do not need each other to function.”

This double whammy of improvements in consecutive races was very powerful and helped Lando Norris to consecutive Grand Prix victories, both from pole position.
