A family packaging company hopes to keep the impulse after being crowned small business of the year.
Smartlift’s bulk packaging in Terrington St Clement took home a new trophy and fertilization rights in the Business Awards of the Mayor of West Norfolk on Friday.
They were smiles and cheers of the team when the Mapus-Smith & Lemmon sponsor announced the name of the company of the Alive corn exchange stage as nominated together with designs and media Steele.

The group exploded once again when they were finally crowned to the winners.
The director Trevor Bland, who was particularly proud, said: “I feel incredible, the company is 20 years old and win this award is testimony of the team and all the hard work they put on day.”
In the last year, Smartlift has seen significant changes, including a fusion with its long factory abroad, Commercial Syn Bags Ltd (Comsyn), in March 2024, which has helped increase its product range.

Trevor now says that moving forward, wants to continue focusing on sustainability, something that says that the company’s values.
“We have an incredible group of people who work with us, so this award is absolutely dedicated to them,” he said.
“We are very grateful not only for not being nominated, but also to win, I am very proud.”
