Monaco is unique in many ways. The 3.3km street circuit is the shortest on the calendar and has the lowest average speed of all F1 circuits. It even requires its own special sporting regulations to limit the total race distance to 260 kilometers instead of the 305 kilometers of other circuits.

The difficulties of overtaking and the effect of traffic in the race are well known, but what about qualifying?
