The workshop helps provide small business owners in Marquette County with tips on hiring in the modern world.

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Business owners in Marquette County had the opportunity to learn new ways to attract talent at a workshop Tuesday morning.

HR Challenges were presented by Lake Superior Community Partnership and hosted by Link Recruiter President and CEO Nikki Rogers. Rogers spoke about the challenges of hiring in the modern world and what candidates are like, as well as how to attract talent to your business.

Lindsay Bean, LSCP Extension and Development Specialist, hopes small business owners can learn tips from larger businesses through this workshop.

“Maybe you haven’t worked somewhere that has a big department, there’s just going to be things that you might not necessarily know and it’s different in every workplace and every industry,” Bean said. “So being able to share is a great thing for us to do.”

LSCP is currently making plans to hold another workshop on cybersecurity.
