They have ways of scanning your document to see if it was written by AI. It’s not gonna fly in most cases.
The problem with this is you end up with the exactly same formatted cover letter as everyone else

I know this is a bit late but you can also put in your CV/resume or just a cut down version of key skills so it tailors it a bit more to you, your experience and skills to reduce editing 😉 I also mention I'm from the UK and it reduces some 'Americanisms' as we tend to address the start a little more informally and for spelling here

Also just copy the job description and change the size and the text to white so it wouldn't be seen by people, but the bots will scan it and catch all the key words and move it to the top of the pile of applicants

If you use chatgpt to try to get a job then you are most likely not goung to last in that job.
And then you get interviewed and look like an idiot. OMG I interview so many people who do this and waste my time.
And then recruiters throw the cover letter away before submitting the resume to the client
You always hide little things 😀
