Apple could not launch a truly ‘modernized’ Siri until 2027

Apple is struggling to rebuild Siri for the age of generative, According to Mark Gurman from Bloombergwho says that the company may not launch “a true modernized and conversational version of Siri” until IOS 2027 comes out in 2027.

That does not mean that there will be no great Siri updates before. According to reports, a new Siri version will debut in May, finally incorporating all Apple’s intelligence characteristics that the company announced almost a year earlier.

Gurman describes that this version of Siri has “two brains”, one for older commands such as configuring timers and making calls, the other for more advanced consultations that can take advantage of user data. According to the reports, a system that fuses the two brains, internally known as “LLM Siri”, at the World Developer Conference in June before launch in the spring of 2026 will be announced.

And only then, says Gurman, Apple can completely pursue the development of Siri’s advanced capabilities, which could then implement the following year.
