  1. I am voracious reader of novels of any type of genre, and when I make my speech (all of which comes from experiences and from what I read) then have it checked by these so called AI detectors – guess, what? 90% AI.

    The audacity!

  2. AI writing checking software is a scam. These softwares consistently flag things as AI that were written in the 19th century. Thomas Paine's Common Sense usually returns a 97% probability of being AI written when submitted to programs like ZeroGPT.

There is no way to definitively prove that a student used AI to write a paper unless you watch them copy the text from AI over to the paper and then turn it in. But more importantly, so what if a person uses AI? AI assisting in writing a paper is no different than using google to search for scholarly sources to cite. Back in the old days someone was expected to go to the library and use the Dewey Decimal System to search scholarly sources. Google/internet made this information easier to access and find. All ChatGPT does is help tailor a person's own thoughts and stances on a paper more quickly and efficiently.

  3. As I’ve said many times, AI will eventually become so advanced that we won’t be able to tell what’s real from what’s fake, and many in the coming age will be left in a state of confusion.

  4. A lot of these ai checking services also have a paid "humanizer" tool or a online writer to write your work in that records your writing and prevents copy and paste which you can use to prove you didnt cheat. So basically it pay us or risk getting expelled???

  5. First and foremost when you you sign into a college you sign a paper that says you will not cheat point blank and teachers have specific programs to check if students used chat GPT and you can tell he's lying definitely lying

  6. First and foremost when you you sign into a college you sign a paper that says you will not cheat point blank and teachers have specific programs to check if students used chat GPT and you can tell he's lying definitely lying and you will not get different answers every time you check you use chat GPT they give you the same answers they just reword it ask chat GPT a question and then ask him to reword it in a specific format they're going to use the same exact words trust me just in a different way

  7. My sister graduated high school in 2003, and she had to write something called a SBA paper(She grew up in the Caribbean). While on vacation during Christmas 2024, we ran into some of her old school stuff. I decided to scan her paper for authenticity because she’s always making fun of us how we have it easy now, come to find out her paper was 92% written by AI 😂😂😂😂 she almost died clutching her pearls 😂😂😂

  8. He's going to win. The must submit proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
Unfortunately they have no accurate sustainable proof nor is chatgpt detectives software advanced enough to provide 100% guarantee outcome.
    The university is cooked.

  9. AI detectors are language modelers that read text to see if it looks like something another language modeler would write to sound like an organic language modeler.
Somebody ran a bunch of classic literature through one of these detectors and it said Shakespeare was an AI.
AI is an unfalsifiable accusation. One cannot prove or disprove such a claim.

  10. Academic integrity investigations, like any administrative investigation, should comply with the principles of natural justice or due process. They should be thorough, relying not only on AI detection tools. The accused should be given the opportunity to provide an explanation for any inculpatory evidence and that explanation should be given due consideration. This story is a perfect example of why the higher education sector must be vigilant around its investigation processes in 2025.

  11. He's clearly a very accomplished academic and knows his subject well, why are universities allowed to ruin students because some tool claims it to be AI? In cases where a student is suspected, I think they need to give more opportunity for the student to prove it such as by reviewing their notes, sources, study material and forensically looking at the document submitted and checking metadata etc

  12. That professor need to proof that Yang cheated by using Chatgpt! What i know is that professor cannot proof it because Chatgpt will give different answer if your prompt same question over and over! Also, chatpgt will not tell you if it wrote the answer or not.
