Additionally, on your comment on search with R1 search. Couldn't you do the Dave thing with an MCP server for access to search the web? I know this can be done in VS code. With so many pre built MCP servers available, a perplexity come can be built entirely by AI itself.

Very interesting on privacy issues. Deepseek collects keyboard patterns (privacy risk) AND all data is stored in China AND compliance with regulators is unclear. OK. Got it. I am not going anywhere near Deepseek. ChatGPT does not have my trust either, but it seems better and has greater incentive to be compliant as a US company that needs to keep operating to produce value for its US investors. If you are considering which model to use, this might be your first consideration. If Deepseek looks too good to be true, then it probably is.

You should test the different local deepseek models against each other. I find a huge difference in their capacity to generate python code.
You clearly missed wrong answer by Deepseek at 10:23. It said there are 2rs is right spelled strawberry in last line.
Wait but in 10:05 DeepSeek did indeed manage to guess that there are 4 Rs in the misspelled Strawberry however you missed the fact that at the end it said that the correct spelling had 2 Rs instead of 3 which means you really managed to confuse it lol
