  1. No much more than that. At a fixed time is just one of many types of trigger for action. There are loads – just ask ChatGPT "a simple list of the triggers in Power Automate" (or Zapier).
This Beta is for the simplest trigger – the rest will be added in as Operator becomes available.

  2. I've noticed that people are focused on reminders. I decided to use it as an agent for routine work.

I’ve set up a monthly task to search the web for recent legal developments that impact my business. It searches for relevant recent (past month) court cases, state laws, and federal laws in my industry. The task then provides a summary of the findings and explains what my business can learn from them.

  3. Can the time be variable? For example, can I ask it to send me a notification every time it will rain? I assume it would have to search the web to do that so I don’t know how that would work.

  4. This is Open AI trying to get people used to the idea of interacting with agents imo. Tasks are the first steps to functions and the reminder aspect is to make it so humans start to feel ok being called by agents. It’s like they are trying to baby steps their way to get the average user feeling good about being tue human in loop to genetic flows. Sam Altman always suggests this kind of behavior in interviews, incrementing people to not blow their minds

  5. Here is one of many ways you can effectively use Chats personalization feature:

Go into any blank chat, say almost anything that has "I'm" or "my" and it'll commit it to memory.

    – Hey ChatGPT, my name is atSeifer, I live in x, and attend/went to college at y, studying z.
    – I drive x, and typically get around y miles per gallon.
    – I'm x" y inches, with a z body type, and <list metrics about your body> with my goals being:
    – My available face washing routine products are…
    – My desktops hardware… peripherals… cooling system
    – I specialize in <list skills> all of that will commit to memory 🚀

Lastly, I would keep a backup list for easy personalization resets to save time in the future.

  6. That feature might seem minor, but it’s actually an important step. These models are getting more helpful, and after such simple reminders, they’re going to remind us about something without explicit prompting. People tend to forget and omit details. Not quite sure what the next step is going to be, but it will happen soon. Maybe ChatGPT could use some initiative and write a description of a YOuTube video based on a script?

  7. I can't find my tasks in the ios app – only on desktop. is this just how they designed it for now? I'm hoping I'm just missing something. To be clear – I have created threads with the tasks model and I have created tasks. I have also been able to find those tasks in-line in the thread that they were created in. HOWEVER, I cannot find the "tasks" drawer that show all open tasks that are active.
