  1. My story of being fast at arithmetic calculations is a bit similar. In school we used to play hand cricket (a bit complicated to explain here) which required fast additions. Over the years we developed muscle memory of just seeing the numbers and it getting added in our head.
Now i can do 2 digit multiplications in my head easily.

  2. We did this at 3rd grade!! It was so fun, everyone had to bring at least 3 packages and determine their price at home. Our teacher then would make discounts, buy-3-n-get-1-free and would ask us to do our shopping list and buy everything with paper money.

  3. Other animals play games when they're young to develop skills that will help them later in life, like big cat cubs play stalking and pouncing on each other and their parent(s), which serves as a way to start learning hunting skills.
Fun literally started as a way to learn. The evolutionary purpose of fun is to learn. The school system is just so f-ed up that made us think learning is not supposed go be fun when it's actually the exact opposite, fun helps with learning.

  4. Works wonders for ADHD Too. And im not just putting it out of my ass. If you are diagnosed with ADHD and has problems doing task with no immediate reward. Gamify that sh**. Split 1 task into 7 achievements. Give yourself a reward for every milestone hit in the progress of your task.

  5. its so important to teach young kids through play. like, developmentally it's insanely important that the majority of learning in the first 5 years of life be play-based. thats how they interact with the world and when theyre playing, theyre in control. if you can make a game out of something it's so much more likely to stick with younger kids. i teach 3 year olds and today we played with scarves and I taught them about how snow forms in the clouds, and we practiced gross motor skills by throwing the scarves in the air and letting them fall like snowflakes! if theyre having fun, theyre learning.

  6. Honestly should be done for all kids. Most of the time they don't do well in school because its not interesting. If they had school a but more interactive like this something there would be a significant improvement

Edit: This should also be done for college too
