Matlen Silver Promotes Rebecca Ventura to Chief Operating Officer

Matlen Silver has promoted Rebecca Ventura to chief operating officer, putting the longtime company executive in charge of national operations, delivery strategy and organizational execution as the staffing and technology solutions firm focuses on scaling its business.

Ventura, who most recently served as senior vice president of sales and operations, will also be responsible for advancing operational performance and client experience. Her elevation to COO follows a rapid progression through Matlen Silver’s leadership ranks since joining the company in 2021.

She initially joined as regional director of sales and business operations and has since been promoted four times, moving through vice president and senior vice president roles before joining the C-suite. During that period, Ventura helped expand the company’s enterprise sales organization, supported growth across multiple U.S. markets and worked to improve internal operating processes.

Her experience across both sales and operations gives the appointment particular strategic relevance as Matlen Silver seeks to connect front-line client growth with the infrastructure required to support delivery at scale. The company serves Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations with staffing and technology services, making coordination between commercial teams, talent operations and client delivery an important part of its operating model.

Ventura has also supported Matlen Silver’s IGNITE junior hiring program, an initiative that adds a workforce-development component to her broader experience in recruiting, sales, national account management and executive leadership.

“Rebecca has been an incredible leader for Matlen Silver and someone our teams genuinely trust and respect,” Chief Revenue Officer Kirk Ferrier said. “Her ability to lead with authenticity, build exceptional teams, and execute on our vision has made a lasting impact.”

Ferrier said Ventura will play a central role as the company continues investing in its workforce, clients and future growth.

The appointment comes as staffing and IT services companies increasingly face pressure to balance growth with operational efficiency. For firms serving large enterprise customers, the ability to coordinate recruiting, sales, technology services and delivery has become particularly important as clients reassess workforce strategies and seek more flexible approaches to accessing specialized technology talent.

Ventura’s mandate places her at the intersection of those functions. Rather than separating commercial growth from operational execution, Matlen Silver is giving an executive with experience across both areas responsibility for aligning the systems and teams that support the company nationally.

“My journey through recruiting, sales, national account management, and executive leadership has given me a front-row seat to how every piece of the business fits together,” Ventura said. She described the COO position as an opportunity to connect the company’s success in the field with the internal operations supporting its teams.

Her focus, she added, will include refining those operations so Matlen Silver can scale efficiently while maintaining its company culture.

For Matlen Silver, the promotion also represents leadership continuity. Rather than recruiting an outside executive to oversee operations, the company is elevating a leader who has spent the past five years working across its sales organization, client relationships and internal processes.

Matlen Silver has operated for more than 45 years, providing solutions for complex talent and technology requirements. The company offers customized, end-to-end IT services and has been recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts among the largest staffing and IT staffing firms in the United States.

Ventura’s appointment signals a greater emphasis on integrating growth and execution as Matlen Silver develops its next phase. With responsibility spanning national operations and delivery strategy, her role will center on building the operational capacity needed to support the company’s enterprise relationships while maintaining efficiency as the business expands.
